It is the baddest Street driven SRT-4 in the country. As soon as he gets it back on the road he is of course gonna setup some more races with awesome cars.

I wouldnt be suprised if we dont see a boosted viper run.

the 04z is losing alot of power with his exhaust. he is running stock cats and stock manifolds. he doesnt not have cutouts or anything. the ONLY exhaust mod he has is a corsa catback. personally i gained 28 peak rwhp on a completely stock motor in my z06. and i picked up 10+ everywhere else under the curve. is this enough to stay with the neon no idea but i would like to see the same race with the headers done to the z and the neon not break.

I wouldn't get a "2 for 1" and, I'm not anal about warranties.
So for me that blows that whole idea out of the water.
Brand new cars are nice, but most of the time they lose a significant amount of value the second you drive them off the lot, sad but true.

I would buy a crap KIA Sophia or something of that nature to drive around in for a $1,000 tops, then buy an m6 Camaro SS or a WS6 with the money left over for around $16,000 or under or something more extreme in that price range. Leaving me with $5,000+ left over for mods, etc.

Race car sits in the garage away from daily wear and tear while the beater car does its job. If i go out racing and break something, so what :eyes: back in the garage it goes and I'll fix it when i have time. In the mean time i have my beater car to get me around and do what i have to from day to day. If the beater breaks down then i can use the race car to run out and get whatever i need to fix the beater. (which the parts will be much cheaper for.)

It's just planning ahead and getting the best bang for your buck.

Oh i agree, like i said I'm not bashing anyone. I think that SRT-4 is a great performer for what ti is, there's no doubt that AMS builds beasts.

With an upgraded turbo, fuel, clutch and a capable standalone you have a mid 11sec car. It cost just as much to upgrade an ls1(nitrous not included) than it does to make a FI car fast. Did you happen to see the list of mods on the C5? That alone is over 10grand I would assume and guess what, he should have spent more.

well not MASS produced seeing as how there were some like 22K ever made in 3 years combined. I have the breakdown of how many of each color and year they made if you wanted to know.
They were made in Belvidere (Ill.).. Got it mixed up there, but I was close :jest:

$12K would be pretty close to what it would cost to do that to a SRT-4. ALot are selling for about $15K now so you can figure for less then $30K you can have a quick car to play with.

I dont agree on body kits and I dont think many even exist for this car. You dont see the magazines really paying attention to them becasue they are domestic. They nut swing on the EVO and STi. My car looks 100% stock except for the tint and eyelids.

You dont seem to grasp the fact that this is a NEW car with warranty (for peple who commute) for $20K. It whoops on every other car priced in that region and above sold new. SPANKS.

Now if you want to argue you can find a import thats cheap to build and make fast I will agree. You arent going to find much that will be able to walk a SRT-4 for that price range though without sacrificing alot.

I could look for a old CRX, and strip it, build it and it would probably smoke 90% of the cars on the road. It's a gokart I could probably lift the rear end off the ground while you changed the tire. But that is just plain silly.

You dont seem to grasp the fact that this is a NEW car with warranty (for peple who commute) for $20K. It whoops on every other car priced in that region and above sold new. SPANKS.

Now if you want to argue you can find a import thats cheap to build and make fast I will agree. You arent going to find much that will be able to walk a SRT-4 for that price range though without sacrificing alot.

I could look for a old CRX, and strip it, build it and it would probably smoke 90% of the cars on the road. It's a gokart I could probably lift the rear end off the ground while you changed the tire. But that is just plain silly.

You seem to have a hang up with SRT-4's and I know the more it's brought up, the more you will resist it (simple psych)...

Oh i agree, like i said I'm not bashing anyone. I think that SRT-4 is a great performer for what ti is, there's no doubt that AMS builds beasts.
i was just honest with my preference and i guess some people aren't use to someone who's straight forward in a non-threatening way, and they take offense to it regardless.

I like Z06s, and i like a good race in general. I commend the SRT-4 on its performance. But, i don't like them personally.

At the same time, I'm not worried about hurting your feelings if u don't like my honest opinion about the vehicle, which i said in a nice manner. Because it's my opinion. i could see if i came in and said "Domestic-Rice!!! FWD sucks!!!! BOOOO!!!" But, that obviously wasn't the case.

AMS builds some awesome stuff, I miss the EVO videos.

I wouldn't get a "2 for 1" and, I'm not anal about warranties.
So for me that blows that whole idea out of the water.
Brand new cars are nice, but most of the time they lose a significant amount of value the second you drive them off the lot, sad but true.

I would buy a crap KIA Sophia or something of that nature to drive around in for a $1,000 tops, then buy an m6 Camaro SS or a WS6 with the money left over for around $16,000 or under or something more extreme in that price range. Leaving me with $5,000+ left over for mods, etc.

Race car sits in the garage away from daily wear and tear while the beater car does its job. If i go out racing and break something, so what back in the garage it goes and I'll fix it when i have time. In the mean time i have my beater car to get me around and do what i have to from day to day. If the beater breaks down then i can use the race car to run out and get whatever i need to fix the beater. (which the parts will be much cheaper for.)

Now, if you read all of that and don't take it out of context, then you'll understand what i mean and not be all angry at me for being a human being with a rational opinion. If not, I'll just expect to see another frustrated post.

They are very fast from a roll also, around here in chicago you have SoundPerformance,AMS,Whip Facotry, Speedinc,FLP,Big mustang and GRAND NATIONAL shops, some big nissan places, and Hot rod shops

WE HAVE EVERYTHING!
