2000 SS 2nd Sticker lists chrome wheels. These just the standard SS wheels????
Well, my 2000 SS is missing its original wheels. My SLP stickers are also unfortunately very very faint and difficult to read. I can make out on the passenger side sticker one of the options being chrome wheels. Is this simply refering to the standard SS chrome wheels???? Or something else?
Just curious, as I'm needing tires and am considering different wheels.
Thanks for any light you might be able to shed on the listed option.

5 spokes in 2000, really?
I've seen so many pics of them with the 10 spokers though. Including a factory poster I have of a black car like mine.
Sure, no 10 spokes on a 2000????

Once enough take off stock of 10 spokes was built up by SLP, then they offered the Chrome 10 spokes in 2001.

You boys sure on this????
I suppose I can right off the GM/Chev poster I have of a 2000 with the chrome 10 spokes, sortof like Dodge never making a 71' TA Challenger yet a pic or two was released of a car they built before the TA got killed in the board room (I'm a recovering Mopar addict).
So all these 2000's I've seen with chrome 10 spokes had them added after leaving SLP????
I'm trying to accept this as I'm a newb to these cars, but all the pics I've seen is making my mind play tricks with the concept.
So, with my barely readable 2nd sticker saying chrome wheels means automatically the 5 spokes is what she was born with.......hmmm.
Anyone have a pic handy of the wheels my car was born with???? If not, I'm assuming they looked something like the ZR1 wheels I've spotted.
My interest stems from, firstly just wanting to be clear on how my car was really born and then secondly I may change the wheels so ........if I could get an aftermarket set that looked like the OEMs mine was born with but perhaps in improved (bigger) sizeing ......well that might be a sleeper option I'd choose.
Thanks much guys, really appreciate the help and clarification.
Talk in a few..........

The ZR1 style 5 spoke 17" wheels were the ONLY chrome wheel available for 2000 SS, and those wheels were installed by SLP. I just dug out my warrantee card.
Chrome 10 spokes from SLP were NOT available till 2001.
Not sure which poster you may be refering to, since I belevie I have them all . . .

My mistake, the poster I was referencing from memory has silver painted 10 spokes.
Ok, I believe.............lol. You guys clearly must be correct........
So, the chrome wheels my car was born with.........is there anything unique to the SS ZR1 type wheels????
Center caps, backspacing? What width? 17x9?

The Painted and Chrome ZR-1's as well as the 10 spokes were 17" x 9" with a 56 mm offset.
The Painted center caps for ZR-1's had red bow ties and the Chrome center caps had black outlined "SS" on them.
The Painted center caps for the 10 spokes had some physical detail, a recessed ring and 5 dimples, with a red bow tie. The Chrome 10 spoke center caps were smooth and concave with a black outline "SS".

Not that its necessary, but I can vouch for what Andy's saying. When I bought my SS new in 2000, I was debating which (if any) SLP options I wanted and the only wheel choices were the painted OEM 10-spokes and the SLP chrome 5-spoke ZR1 style. There were no chrome 10-spokes available stock or through SLP at that time.
If memory serves, 1997 SS wheels would have been painted ZR1-style 5-spokes with SS logo on the centercap and black lugnuts covers.

These 97 wheels I have come across are painted black. With my black SS I thought they might not look to bad.
Just need to confirm the backspace/offset on them then I'll decide.
