allan never tends to stear people wrong on cam selection. the 2 things that stick out to me is the big converter, and nos which tends to dictate duration @.050, and LSA. a little more motor work(head/intake) wouldn't hurt if it is in your budget. good luck

I'm running this cam in my truck and it's awesome! I've got a few more cubes, but more weight also.

How is it with your stock converter.

Does it bog under 3000 rpm? Does it have enough torque to get your truck moving relatively quickly? How do you like it? Are you planning on keeping the stocker?

It works fine with the stock converter. Driveability is great, even on a street/base tune. I Might step-up to a 2600 stall later in the summer, not sure yet. It doesn't bog under 3000 rpms. It's alot stronger from idle-3000rpms than my old cammed 5.3 (208/216-.530/.530-113+5). It's got some monster torque. If I nail it from a dead stop, all I do is spin all the way through first and some of second. Usually I can't get traction and have to let off for a second. After about 4000rpms, it feels like a mini turbo and builds all the way to 6300. My speedo flys in second gear. I've got a strong feeling after my dyno-tune it could pull a vette up until the aerodynamics start coming in around 85mph or so. If I wasn't getting choked up in the upper rpms by the truck intake and had a LS6 intake. The top-end would be just plain nasty!

Since he has more cubes, that cam will act a LOT smaller than it would in a 346.

I don't see it having too rowdy of an idle really. It appears to only have 3 degrees of overlap.

Numerous people are running that cam including SOMe WS6. Do a search or PM him. He has that cam in his TA with an A4 and bolt ons. He made 400 rwhp I think.

With true duals this cam sounds mean as hell. i put my borla back on so i could close the exhaust off and keep it quiet when i need to.

F13 is a great starter cam. Its not to mild but not to wild. I love mine, its a M6 car though. I have surging from 1800-2000 but thats cuz I have stock gears. I spray a 150 on mine and got 513rwhp on 900 bottle pressure and 385 off the bottle with a rich fuela nd delayed timing tune. Looking into the timing tuner to help with timing off the bottle. It drives great off the bottle with plenty of power. I have a sound clip but dont know where to host it.

Times in sig with the F13 and a 3000 converter. The car had 3.42s and stock suspension. It made 393 on motor but never got to the dyno with the 150 shot
