Wow, let me tell you that was an experience. I just had my first tuk tuk ride ever when I was in Bangkok. I thought I was going to die about 30 times. I didn't know if it was going to be from getting hit by a bus or taxi or from the fumes that were coming out of him. Anyone else ever gone for a ride? It is a must atleast once to get the near death experiences but thats about it....

I've got a Tuk-Tuk,mine was imported from china...
Mine's a little more extreme than the one's in Thailand though...
It's also tagged, insured and street legal..
Here's a couple pics of it,and a vid of the nitrous purge

Girlfriend , myself and all our luggage were in one like in the pic below.
The pilot turned the wrong way into a 3 lane one way street.....with cars fast approaching about 40 feet ahead.
The next thing I see is blue sky and an aeroplane .... and I'm looking thru the windscreen.
Tuk tuk pilot had apparently found a reverse gear and dumped the clutch.
The whole contraption (with us and luggage wedged against the road ) sat balanced on its rear bumper until the pilot climbed out over the handlebars and bounced us back onto 3 wheels.

There definatly fun for sure.
No not real cheap, mine was imported directly from china and had to go through DMV to get tagged and all that crap.
It's a novelty,I daily drive it occasionally to work, mostly to run around the pit's at the track though.

Damn, those things are awesome. I didn't even have a clue what a tuk tuk was before seeing this. I guess you learn new things everyday.

I still like mine better, the place in Atlanta that sells them only has the open air like the pic above.
Mine's totally enclosed,locks and stereo.
And mine IS DOT approved for Highway use,it's tagged and insured here in Oklahoma.
