yean my Trans Am came with cassette and with a monsoon 12 disc changer in the trunk. I like the Cassette I never use it but i do use it to hear my IPOD in the car and it sounds amazing on the monsoon system.

yeah thats hurting the stock head units dont have an AUX input, I personally would dislike having inactive steering controls.
isnt there a way to get a converter for the back and route an AUX input to the front?

lol, both my GTP and the WS6 have the same set-up, cassette HU and 12 disc changer in the trunk. I find it to be a HUGE pita in the GTP and end up listenin to the same cds for a month at a time. The TA is a bit better(im in the mindset to cruise, so it doesnt seem too bad to load up a few CDs before I go). If I was gonna keep the GTP, I would switch the cass deck asap!

I think so, but I'm not 100% sure. I do remember hearing/reading that somewhere....

mine came with cassette monsoon only, no cd changer, but FYI there is no reason to buy the input cable that runs from the cd changer to the head unit, it is stored on the opposite side of the jack even if you dont have a cd changer.

i don't quite see the point behind it being there while it's in service though, since equipment usually renders it pretty much useless anyway.
