Default Car wants to go forward...in park?

I have just rebuilt my engine, its a 383 503 cam and a madz tune, the trans is stock and is out of a cop caprice with the stock stall conv with about 70k miles on it why would my car be wanting to go fwd in all gears? the shift linkage feels all wrong but i can tell its in park.. is something wrong with the valve body? or the operator? or somethin else? car is a 94 camaro thank you for your help in advance

Sounds like you linkage is f'd up, and your not actually in park. Also, say buh bye to that trans pretty soon.

yeah i know that... if i had the green it would get a 6 spd.... but I took all the linkage off and made sure the gear selector was in PARK.... still moves forward

You may have damaged the shift rod if the trans is not in park with the assembly rotated all the way clockwise you will need to pull the pan and take a look I have seen them twisted and broken

doh! i'll pull it off and see if i messed anything up.... is there anything else that would cause this?

do you have reverse?does it stay put or roll when pushed in park?if these are ok i would suspect the forward clutch is burnt and stuck to the forward hub thereby trying to drive the front sun gear and planet causing the pulling forward
