Default Prochargers with nitrous

Has anyone tried running a 50 to 100 wet shot of nitrous at WOT with a Procharger setup??? If so how did it work out??? Anything to watch out for or tips because I think I am gonna try running a 75 shot or so with the 8 lbs of boost??? Thanks in advance for any insight.

one of the ohio boys named mark runs a dry shot on procharger and he picked up like 125 rear wheel on a 100 shot.

Generally speaking, forced induction cars are more likely to see a better gain on the spray when compared to being put on N/A cars.

Personally, I have thought about it in my D1SC car, but decided to go with a methanol injection kit instead.

Ohio Boys? I would not be caught dead with those guys
J/K Mike and Steve.

Guess since I'm from Ohio and run Nitrous on top of a DISC I will reply this thread.

It's a converted 5177 DRY kit. I have 2-.050 jets tapped into the "Y" pipe just after the blower. The nitrous runs thru the intercoolers into the plenum and makes a nice soft hit to the tune of about 120 rwhp. I really only use it at the dyno and at the track (hence the nice trap speed in my sig).

No problems to date but again the motor only sees limited dual power adders.

I would personally run a meth kit before nitrous. Nitrous is too hard on stuff. Just turn the boost up if your wanting more power.

I ran a 100 dry shot for awhile and it worked well.Went to more boost and waiting for good weather to get a better tune my wet shot. .But so far I have seen better results with a dry shot

I'm thinking about a 100-150 shot on my iron 370 with a D1SC set on kill. It'll be an interesting year. I was also wondering about mixing spray and meth. I'm looking to learn anything i can and made a post recently but i havnt gotten much info. Seems not too many people are doing it?

I have run both at the same time...no problem, but again, not all the time.

I currently have a wet kit on my stock motor right now. I am in the midst of putting together a forged bottem end for the D1sc kit I bought. I was planning on just running the blower and leave the shot on it for a little extra fun every now and again. I figured it would be next to impossible for my hands to remove that kit from the car. To much fun!! Anyway I was also considering some meth too, maybe not with the spray but for the track. I figure nitrous would hit harder but I am sure meth is a lot cheaper to run at the track. If anyone runs both regular please let me know, that's awesome stuff. Maybe some E85 if I can learn more about that stuff.

Running meth won't really give you much more power. The benefits of methanol is that it allows you to safely run more timing, or more boost without worrying about detonation. It's the added timing and or boost that makes all the power. Most who run methanol have their car tuned for it. Once its tuned for it, unless you don't care about detonation, you have to consistantly run it.

And yes, methanol is cheeper. Depending on where you get it, it can cost only $2.95 a gallon, and lasts a while.

Thanks for the imformation, I was not aware that methanol was sprayed constantly. How many MPG would you usually get with an average set up. Would you have to fill it a lot, or could you fill it every time you get gas? Sorry, I never bothered to learn to much about it before.

I'm running a NX MAF wet 50 shot on top of 8-9psi.

My 50 shot added 47rwhp/115rwtq on 800psi bottle pressure. If I had time for the warmer to get the bottle up to 1100psi would have made more.

There's another local guy (Ed Blown Vert) who is still waiting for his 383 to be rebuilt after hurting it with boost + 150 shot and a bypassed window switch.

My plans for the ZO6, D1SC and a 50 shot for good measure. Forged 347 will be the motor.

Once build is done, will be running a NX 50 shot on a forged LS2 402 with S85 turbo. Not Procharger but same concept.

My car is at the dyno right now getting a tune so i can run a shot of nitrous. I think i will be spraying a high # through there somewhere around 150-250 for now. But i am going to start low around a 100 shot and work my way up from there. I have 8-9lbs. of boost also. Forged pistons, good rods, stage two heads,so on a so forth sooo i will let you guys know how it turns out.
