torquer 2 shiftpoints, A4
i'm tuning my car and am trying to get my shiftpoints lined up before I head back to the track this year to finally try my new cam out. What would you say is the highest RPM I should shift at? The cam I have makes power to 6800+ or so (TSP Torquer 2 232/234/ .595"/.598" on a 113). Right now I'm hoping to shift at 6600 rpms on the 1-2, and 6500 on the 2-3 and 3-4. Now I can probably turn 100 more rpms or so but dont wanna cause any damage to my engine or trans, My engine rev limiter will be set to 6750rpms. My car is a 99 and my trans is built with the best parts and hardened 4L65E output shaft. I have a Yank SS4000/2.6str. Should I shift lower due to rod bolts? Thanks for your help.
