Default M6 brands

A buddy of mine has a 98 camaro Z28. It's got the 6 speed Borg Werner. I had thought that the F bodies had the tremec t-56 or is it just the Pontiac. I have a 98 formula and thought they'd both have the Tremec t56 but maybe I'm wrong.
Any help is greatly appreciated

Borg Warner and Tremec are the same company. Tremec bought out BW but they kept the name, still. I think this thread came up a LONG time ago and I think it said something like depending on where the car was made, it simply got a different stamp. It's still the same transmission, just a different stamp, that's all. I think that's how it went...

Thanks for the info. I thought they only had one tranny but I wasn't sure. Thanks for clearing that up for me.
