how about a little bit of N2o???
if you have a look at the N2O forum on here you should beable to pick up some very good hints and tips for a starter kit with plenty of upgradeability.
thanks chris.

Well, shoot. I thought you were looking to donate $$ to my project!!!
LOL
I am in a similar position ($ to spend, but wisely).
If you DON'T have a full breathing exhaust system, you're gonna leave a lot on the table. You're dyno graph could be that high stock from good tuning (or factory luck.) I have seen more from LT headers on stock motors, so I assuming that you don't have LT headers, y-pipe, etc..
FWIW: Most people over cam....it's just a "guy" thing I guess. LOL
Soooo.... I would get the car into a position where a nice H/C package will give you where you want the car in say another year, cuz to do it right once the 1st time, is going to cost you more than the $2000 you have right now.
BTW: I have been researching manufacturers, specifications, performance results, and pricing for several weeks now. I am doing all the installs my self. Just getting full exhaust and a quality H/C setup is going to run me around $3000. All the "little" stuff adds up fast.
LOL

nitrous kit are friggin easy to install and are pretty hard to **** up if you follow the instructions. Kits come with a WOT switch, I paid 55$ for a window switch with 8 different window settings.

also yes i DO have full exhaust... but im thinking bout getting x-pipe with bullet mufflers dumped at the axle..cost 550 parts and all installed..stainless steel tubing... ive been told my dyno is good for being auto.. but i guess people dont think so... atleast i wasnt one of those people dynoing 295rwhp...
right now im leaning towards.. cam, tune, sfc, lca's, relocation brackets, sportlines "that im getting for 100 bucks", and hopefully a stall...

don't spend it at all then, invest it. flagstar bank is running a promo on a 6 month CD for 10%, max. $2,500. put in 2k and in 6 months make 200 dollars pre tax, or put in 2,500 and make 250, ez money.

#2, what do you want to do with the car? Is your goal a drag car? Autocross? Nice-looking go-fast machine? Do you want it to do it all? This has a lot to do with everything.
My suspension is setup for autocross, the car looks good, and it's got some power, but not a ridiculous amount. It's also driveable and smog legal. I might want it to have some more power, but that's about it until I get a paint job.

What kind of suspension are you looking at though, drag or AutoX? Cause the parts do make a difference. For drag you want softer springs and shocks, and autocross you want things stiffer.
My $.02, go with a nice 231/231 cam and a converter which will get you over that 400rwhp mark, a tune, and then drop the rest into suspension. LCAs, relocation brackets, torque arm, shocks and springs.
