trans swap question!!

Default trans swap question!!

would i be able to drop the trans off the bellhousing without dropping the k-member down at all? i have an extra trans. just wondering if it would be easier! any help would be greatly appreciated!

you don't need to touch the k-member. once you take the driveshaft and transmission crossmember off the engine will tilt a little bit on it's mounts to give you room to the top bolts.

Is it necessary to remove the exhaust to tilt the engine?

my exhaust is already completely off the car im in the process of installing headers, so i am gonna swap tranny's before i put the headers on.

With my FLP setup I was able to keep my full exhuast on the car while swapping trannys out.

No I just replaced my SPEC Stage 3F with the complete exhaust on. It would be eaiser with the Y-Pipe out of the way though.

Special wobble sockets are necessary to remove the tranny & bell housing top bolts as well as about 3' of extentions.
