trans swap question!!

trans swap question!! would i be able to drop the trans off the bellhousing without dropping the k-member down at all? i have an extra trans. just wondering if it would be easier! any help would be greatly appreciated!

you don't need to touch the k-member. once you take the driveshaft and transmission crossmember off the engine will tilt a little bit on it's mounts to give you room to the top bolts.

my exhaust is already completely off the car im in the process of installing headers, so i am gonna swap tranny's before i put the headers on.
