Default The Grocery Getter enters the single digit club!!

https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...43#post6339343

We got to hang with Joe n Amber (my favorite NA record setters) and watch them tear up the track. J-Rod showed up to play and visit for a while and Leo even pounded on the 1320 with his Goat.

It's cool to hang with our LS1tech buds!

9.8s here we come!

Now you need the certified cage, gloves, neck brace and don't forget: THE 9 SEC LICENSE. Trust us it is addicting. You will be making this into a race car yet. I can see that in the near future.

It was 3398#s on the new HRP scales yesterday. I could drop some weight like the pass side airbag, radio stuff and rear support, but there's really no need to IMO. I had planned on pulling the rear support out temporarily, but could find the energy to make it happen.

Thanks again for all your help Greg. You da man in my book!

Yeah Mike it should have happened Friday, but I only worked on the suspension tuning. Sunday I pulled a good bit of fuel to get us to the 12.8-12.9:1 range and added a couple of * of timing and never did see any KR. It just kept gaining mph in the head wind. Thanks man!

DJ- I guess you shouldn't have given me that good luck kiss huh? LOL. Thanks for the props. I wish ya could have been there.

Jeremy- You'll probably fly right past us when your car is done..but it won't be on the street I see some low 9s in your future man.

James good to see the car is REALLY hauling ***! I think some 9.8s or 9.7s will be there with a little bit better air. I think my presence alone at the track is worth .1 or .2 usually on a pass. So I mean you could even get a 9.6 or 9.5 out of it if I show up LOL.

That's pronounced "goob" not god.lol.

Chris- You may be on to something. If your presence works, and I think it will, there's $$$ in it for ya!

I do see high 9.7s or low 9.8s if the stars are all lined up just right. Ol' LS1Joe throws me a bone every once in a while He's full of tricks

Congrats....

It was awsome that y'all hit 9's.

I was out there to see if I could get a decent time out of the sled. The original F1SCs with ~200 passes, cords showing, and being 6 years old just don't seem to have alot of hook left in them... I guess it might be time for some tires on the car.

The stock Ls6 clutch is beginning to show its age, and only geting one pass it certainly didn't help the cause.... I crunched 4th gear (clutch stuck to floor) and only managed a 12.30... So, I'm thinking now that the warranty is out, its probably time to address that also.

Even so, the air was great last night. More folks should have been there. 30.3 on the baro with 47% humidity doesn't come along often. Especially with air temps in the 40's.... Big negative DA, and good for all sorts of records.
