Default RESOLVED Help!! Gauge Fuse Blown Car Will Not Start

My brother just called. he has a 02 CETA, A4. mods are muffler and k&n.

he said his right blinker was on this morning and he turned it off. he said it was still trying to com on. when he went to leave work this afternoon the gauges came on then went out. he turned of the car and now it will not start. the gauge fuse is blown, the radio works everything is fine till the key hits the start position. erveything shuts off. the car is in park. any idea's would be greatly appreciated.

Don't know what caused the GAUGES fuse to blow, but there's a lot of other things on that circuit - BCM, BTSI, IP cluster, DRL module, probably the reason for the no start.

BCM - Body Control Module, BTSI - Brake/trans shift interlock, DRL - Daytime running lamps. Just guessing but think no power the the BCM is most likely causing the no-start?????

Glad to hear it is up and running again. I think you and your brother made it a freak thing. If you knew the fuse was blown why didn't you replace it right away? You paniced when you already knew what the problem was. I'm not trying to bash or anything, I've let my car get the best of me before as well. Like u said, just one of those freak things.
