Default Quick Header question

So if I get a set of Pace Setter LT Headers. Will I need to get a new Y-pipe or will it fit with my stock one?

Yes you will need to get a 3in ory or catted y. Unless you plan to keep the stocker, then I'm sure an exhaust shop can reduce down from the header which is 3 inch to the stock y which is 2.75 inch-or close to it.

If emissions arent an issue in your area, then you can get either. Having cats on the car helps with the rasp you WILL have with that set-up.

it depends on what kind of sound your looking for. if your young and want to be annoying as can be with your LM id get the ORY. if you want a more controlled (but still loud as hell with your LM) cleaner sounding exhaust note. then grab the catted y or ditch the LM completly.

me personally. im looking for the loudest, meanest soundin exhaust w/o TD's that i can find. thats why i got the LM. but if you get the ORY you can always add cats later on.

No the stock cats would be almost impossible to get on a 3inch Y pipe.... and FWIW every state has a anit ORY policy but that really doesnt stop anyone

ok let me break it down for you. ory with loud mouth will sound like ***. a catted y will sound better but will cost you more. ory is the preferred but with you exhaust choice is a no no. check out www.ls1sounds.com you are doing the right thing now and REASEARCHING before purchasing. you can also have you exhaust shop build you a y with carsound cats!!!

Also, you will need those O2 extensions and a tune to delete the rear O2's.
