Thats the 3/4 synchro on the left and thats what you must pull off with a puller. It has about 2 inches of pulling before it comes off but it will. After you remove that youll just put the press on seconed gear and push the gear and the synchro off togther.

Yep, that one is going to give you some real trouble, I know it gave me hell. Just use a large 3-jaw puller and have at it. It will help a whole lot if someone else is helping you hold the shaft in place while you apply a torque to the puller. After you do that, you're going to need a real long puller (or a homemade one) to remove the 1/2 synchro housing on the right side of that pic. That one will be fun also. Good luck, you're almost to the point of putting it all back together.

After sliding 3rd gear off, put 4th gear in between somthing and hit the end of the main shaft, make sure you put a board on it and then hit it. When it comes loose the shaft will want to fall so make sure someone is holding it from the bottom. To put it back on you can get you a little 1" x 1" peice of wood and hit the inside of the synchro until it bottoms out. Once you get all that off its not bad, just reassembly which isnt bad.

Like everyone else said, 3-4 comes off with a little force either from a puller or from a press. Most easily with a press and bearing puller. I don't really remember anything giving me more fits than the 3-4 snap ring, that thing is a BIATCH and a good reason to invest in a new snap ring kit.
