Do shift kits help autos alot.?? and how is normal driving with them

the shifts will feel harder, which IMO is a good thing..They will also extend the life of the tranny, I think that would be due to less slippage...

Depending on how many washers are installed yes it will change normal driving. My shifts really firmed up with 2 washers and it would snap your neck if you were in the throttle just right and not ready for it. I did not regret it at all but I did mine so that when I put my converter in I would be ready. Once it was installed I can't tell it has a shift kit. I would recommend it because it gave some upgrades to improve potential problems. I also really only saw the difference in the 2nd shift the rest seemed normal but I still have torque management.

A shift kit can improve a transmissions life substantially and improve its performance. However with a stock built trans I usually suggest staying on the light side in th setting end usually they give various levels you can install to

Well i would get the transgo hd2 but when you look at the instructions there are various levels you can set it up to , If you get it just holler and I will help and advise you on it ,

Nope, pretty sure it will not improve 1/4 mile times, get a stall and a shift kit together if you wanna do that

Or your could just goto our site buy a trans/converter combo and they allready have the shift kit and be done with it lol

it definently feels like it helps, I think it shifts faster, but I have heard from many that it does not help

does'nt a quicker shift mean your back into the power quicker? if so no matter how small their must be some gain.

Well there may be some tiny gain from quicker shifts , but it would be very small since your talking 1000th of a second changes. The biggest gain is in durability and overall feel.
