Default Anyone been pulled over for no front plate on their TA?

Just curious if anyone has ever been pulled over for a no front plate in the state of Texas on their TA..... there is no place to mount the plate unless you drill right into the fiberglass which would be ugly.... just curious if cops just ignore our cars because there is no place to really put one...?

I got surrounded in my 97 that i had! literally 4 squad cars boxed me in.. Said my car looked like a black camaro that had just robbed a 7\11. When he found out i was in the police academy and that i just got out of the Marines, he changed he's tone and demeanor and told me he had intiated the stop because i had no front plate and changed lanes without a signal???

1st week I got it!

I told him it wasnt my fault that I had just gotten it 3 day earlier and it didnt come with one, he said it didnt matter and he also gave me one for no insurance since my card still had my previous car on there while I waited for the new one with the T/A to come in. It was BS, he just had to meet quota cause he was pretty cool about it.

I got pulled over Saturday in West University. There were two cops patrolling the street I was on and they were pulling everybody over. I was let off though didn't get a ticket or warning.

I've been pulled over once or twice. No L/P towards the front = a reason to stop you.

Been pulled over twice, once going towards College Station, and once in San Angelo. I have it mounted on the air dam, so both times I showed them where it was and they said I had to move it, gave me warnings both times .

So what do they do to people driving Mercedes and other high end cars? Those don't have any provisions whatsoever for plate in the front or at least most of the ones I have seen. I wonder if they get hassled.

The few times I've been stopped (for valid reasons,) they've only mentioned it to me. Never a verbal or written warning, no tickets either. Been almost 4 years now with no front plate.

When I eventually get my Corvette, that won't have a front plate either.

I've been stopped a couple times, never ticketed. Cops just use it as probable cause to initiate the stop. Hasn't bothered me yet.

Any thing that gives them "Probable Cause". Any one that has a car or especially a fast car, i strongly recommend you go out and get a copy of the Texas Penal Codes. You will be surprised on what they can nail you on, and Its usable knowledge when your getting pulled over!

Been pulled over fort no plate 4 times,
been issued a ticket for it 6 times, ( pulled over for speeding, given ticket for the plate at that time as well )

I have probably been pulled over 70+ times,
Have gotten 29 moving violations, but right now only 1 is on my record.
most of the trouble I caused was between age 15-21,

26 now

A few months after first buying my car I got pulled over for no front plate even though I had it on my dash and got a warning. I gave him the I just bought the car story and told him I would put it on as soon as I got home

Few weeks ago was driving from College Station to San Antonio and my buddy and I both got pulled over by a trooper for illegal tint and no front license plates. He only gave us warnings but when he saw that I had my plate on my dash he said it was fine to have it there so no warning for no plate for me.

So I've had had a cop give me a warning for no front plate and a trooper not give me a warning since I had it on the dash...does anyone know the exact law on this?
