Default Trans am w/zo6 ducts

has anyone put the zo6 rear brake ducts on a trans am? i have z06 rims which led me to wondering what they would look like. Even if they look awesome i dont know if id do it cause it kinda be imitation i think with both the rims and ducts. Or maybee itd be a nice theme and i would go ahead and put z06 mesh in the front brake ducts and side vents. Any thoughts? opinions? anyone seen this done or have pics? Any photochoppers wanna help me out?

there just isn't enough room to fit them comfortably on a ta, i think. look at where the door is near the rear fender and lower ground effect. no room to really put it there whereas the z06 has a lot more free space because of the body design. no wudduh mean?

i was thinking about this the other day too, so i chimed in

what do you mean by that? did you physically place one on your car? did you measure? what evidence do you have to offer? i have personally never tried and i know theres not much room behind our doors, but a z06 brake duct is only 4-5 inches long i would assume. They aren;t very big at all. If there really is that limited amount room behind the door then why not on the door? would that look completely ridiculous? yea probably becuase it sounds ridiculous. we need a photochopper

There is a guy here in Anchorage and bought a couple of the ducts to put on the his 01 SS and it wouldnt fit due to room. He ended up putting them on his Silverado SS. It works with those and looks pretty good too.

are you talking about C5 z06 ducts or C6 Zo6 ducts? the C5 ones dontlook like they could ever fit. but the C6 ones look like they could. Anyone skilled at photoshop can use this and my car if you want.

Didn't STS make a black Trans Am with rear ducts to feed air to the turbo?

im not installing them for functionality. I just wanted to know what theyd look like for the sake of looks. And yes, sts had a trans am that the turbo was fed through the side but if i remember correcltly morgan motorsports made the side skirts or maybe it was a vizage peice off a camaro cause back then there was no vizage kit for a trans am. But dont quote me

Hmm if you could lighten the color of the duct and make it a tab bigger then it will look good.

that duct in the pic is the same proportions as an authentic Z06 duct, and that's the biggest i can make it without overlapping the door/rear wheel. i CAN make it bigger, or even take up the entire side of the 1/4 panel, but it would look entirely different than the original.

I had the same idea, but have you ever seen the 79 transam side vents on the fenders of our cars? Looks really nice
