Default truck harness

hey i just got a harness and i was told it was out of a 2002 truck but i would like to make sure before i start reworking it for my swap. Is there anyway to know for sure what year a wiring harness is from? or does it matter as long as its in the 99-02 area? thanks

Look around on the harness for paper tags, it will have a part number on them, and will also have the build date. My 03 harness had couple on them.

cool ill do that. now im looking around on the harness for an aldl port and nothing is looking like what in my mind it should look like. That being a port that is kinda trapazoidal in shape. The harness is uncut so most likely im just not seeing it

You'll need to add the ALDL, it is not included in the engine harness.
