Default Who likes the FAST intake appearance stock?

I have heard lots of people painting them black, shaving where it says FAST on the top, etc. Personally I think thats nuts - especially if you wanna show people you mean business I love how it looks out of the box!

I hate it. The red and brown look like crap in what could be a really clean engine bay. I am considering a sheetmetal intake just to get away from its ugly looks.

who cares how much its costs...how fast it is is what matters...just because you have a FAST intake doesn't guarantee that you mean business...just my .02

They aren't the best looking intakes in the world, thats for sure - but they WORK, and that is all that I'm after.

I can live with the color, but i would prefer if it was black with the big F.A.S.T. logo in red! I definitely wouldn't take the time to sand it down and remove the logo just to paint it, it doesn't bother me that much...

I like the stock look, but its not worth the time to do all that work, esp to make it look good. If i was to spend all the time and effort to paint it, I would sand it off and paint it NMB.

Looks fine to me....

It would look better gloss black, but I'm not jacking with it. Got too many irons in the fire already!

Ho ho HO it's MAGIC!

Not really.

I removed the inner fender, then hole-saw'd into the fender by the PCM, then disconnected all the wires and ran them through.

Here's the writeup I used.

If I get one (still debating on some other alternatives), it'll be shaved and painted flat black. I have nothing else in my engine bay red and beige, and flat black just looks better sitting on top of the engine.

I painted mine black, semi-gloss. I may detail the "fast" in red.... not sure yet.
