How hard is it to change the belt ?

Default How hard is it to change the belt ?

Well, For months now my belt has been makeing a kind of chipring sound. It is a really annoying sound. I have a three day weekend coming up , and i was wondering how hard is it to change the belt and also how much do one of these belts cost. oh, what about the belt tensioner?

very easy, theyre about 20 bucks and the tensioner itself is a common problem

Takes literally about 5 min. 15 mil socket with 3/8 drive ratchet. extend all the way, pull belt off

Wow , that kinda makes me feel better , what about the tensioner itself, could that be the problem. would autozone have these parts?

autozone does have the tensioner last time i checked most have to order. i think the tensioner was like 60 or 70 though

The belt change is very easy on these cars.
