never heard this X vs. H question asked before
as far as these two mid pipes go, which one will be LOUDER? i know its obvious that H = deeper and more low end, X = exotic sound, top end ya ya ya but im talking about actual DB sound level, anyone know?
reason im asking is i want LTs X or H + flowmaster 1 chambers, and most H pipe setups ive heard, although sound quality is as perfect as it gets, seem to be a bit quieter than the X.....and i want ***** loud

before i swithched out my x or my H, i first had the 1 chambers isntalled. I started the car with the x and 1 chambers, it was loud but again high pitched. No i did not take it for a run or anyhting. Then i put the h on with the 1 chambers, it was deeper sounding. Seemed jsut as loud but deeper.
I really do not know if that is the answer you are looking for?

as for if does that answer my question, not really the bold is my real question and doubt anyone really knows...

Does the length of the H part (the part that connects the 2 sides together) play any roll in the sound or performance?

you want the cross over pipe to be as close to the motor as possible. Better scavenging affects
