Choose wisely on your valvesprings if you want to go with something like that. Also, a small donkey dick cam can still make good #'s if you choose the correct valve events.

With a cam that large, the best way to see how much you need to cut is to install it, then measure. Start with say a 1cc cut and only go as large as you need to go. Taking to much out will not only compromise the integrity of the piston, but negate the effect of milling and running a thinner gasket. This will also change your SCR and DCR #'s. Once you degree the cam, find out what it's true ground spec's are, and find out how much material you've taken out of the piston THEN you can plug those numbers into a DCR calculator and it'll give you the correct numbers.

The cam is a total custom cam that Thunder Racing can grind for you.
235/243 .646/.653 110LSA +4 advance.
Ideal chamber size would be 59cc with .040" head gasket and 2cc valve reliefs. SCR would be around 11.3:1 and DCR would be 8.73:1. Total area under the curve cam.

HP will peak at 6300-6400, tq will peak around 4800-4900. LSK lobes on intake and exhaust. Cam only with all the right bolt-ons, this is a 440-450 rwhp cam with over 400 rwtq. With excellent aftermarket heads, 59cc chamber, .040" gasket, flycut pistons and all the proper bolt-ons, 490-500 rwhp!

If you're looking for a trex type cam that will work fine.. I'm just saying anytime the throttle is anywhere other then wide open.. it's gonna be cranky, and driving the car around is not gonna be anywhere near as enjoyable as something that's a little tamer

A better question... have you ever had a big cammed car before, or any other performance car for that matter? Alot of people think they want this and that, but utnil you've had it you don't knwo the quirks that are in store for you.

I've seen alot of people say " I want a big cam", get one, then end up hating it in a very short period of time.
