Default Verizon SMS messaging rate increase

If you guys dont know already, Verison Wireless is increasing the rate on the text messages starting March 1st. This means you can cancel your Verizon service and not get charge the early terminaton fee.

This will only apply if you are not on the text message plan. If you are on the text message plan (like I was) you can go to your account on verizonwireless.com and cancel your text message plan which the no ETF will now apply to you.

You have until March 1st to do this. If a customer service tells you NO just tell them its in there contract (under legal rights) which states you can cancel when there is any kind of rate increase.

This works guys, I got out of a family plan (2 lines) with them without getting charged the early termination fee. So for you verizon users, if you want to go to a different carrier (or get a better phone) this is the time to do it. Just wanted to share this to my fellow ls1tech friends.

Hmmmz I just might have to do this. I got a family plan to with 2 lines. Both with text messages. So that means I can cancel without the early termination fee?
