LSx vs. Diesel
As a former owner of diesel and the current owner of LSx I was wondering if any one has been beaten by a diesel in there LSx..... (Dont be ashamed if you have )
BTW my diesel (06 dodge ram 2500 quad cab 4x4 tune, intake, exhaust, 35" BFG MT's) was quite a bit faster than my LSx.... I ran consistent 13.1's @ 105/106mph in my diesel... and I know my time (in sig) for my car is horrible, but my truck would have won even with a good launch.

with the upgrades available for moden diesels, people can get a **** load of power out of them. I;ve seen a duramax max out a dyno on the torque side . I believe it maxed out at 1000 FT/LBS

i've never raced one, but I saw camaro lose off a light last night...
black 2500 silverado vs. black camaro...camaro had a loud exhaust...the camaro spun off the stop so he was already back, but it stayed the way...it was different watching from the sidewalk...still an enjoyable experience...

^^^ I used to laugh my *** off at people when I would smoke em' with my truck, No one would expect to get beat by a truck that tips the scales at 7500#
Wish i would of had a chance to race a fbody, but never ran across one, just a **** load of mustangs that ended up with a cab full of diesel smoke

i believe it was 1008hp and around 1968 lb-ft of torque.
all with no nitrous, propane, or water/methanol injection. at 82 pounds of boost.

I had a twin turbo 97 Dodge Diesel 4x4 that ran 11.86 at 114.1 with a 1.6x 60 foot. It was a farm truck, but it was starting to take too much to keep it driving. I was on my third "bullit proof" trans.
It was a work truck, and it looked like it too, with a 190,000 miles on it. It hurt some feelings when I took it to the track. Worse part about the whole diesel drag racing thing, is all the attention you get from all drunk red necks within a 10 mile radius. But the really cool thing about an old 12 valve cummins hot rod diesel, you know what to do when you have a tailgater. Covered a poor guy so bad at 70 mph, that you couldn't see his head lights anymore.

Diesels are the dope. I tried to get my wife to approve one in our latest P/U, but she wasn't going for it. I've never lost to one and at my current point in modding, it looks doubtful...
