Default how to tune a carb?

alright guys i need some help with tuning my carb. Its Edlebrock 650 cfm, this thing is drinking like there is no tomorrow. I bought my car with it and single exhaust. I bought the flowmaster 80 series and a K@N air filter for the improvement of gas milage but Instead of my gas milage going up it has decreased dramatically. How would tune i this thing where it would still perform really well but not guzzle through a 14 gallon tank in 3 days. Any info would really help. Than'x

There are tech articles that would really help you with that, i can go Holley all day, but the Edelbrock is a simplified Qjet, go to thirdgen.org under the carb section...
