Default anyone in DFW wanna check out my car?

can't seem to figure it out. the car is real sluggish, doesn't have the same grunt, feels like it misfires at WOT, start up doesn't seem right either. the SES light is NOT on. hasn't been on since the new o2 was installed. already changed out the plugs with NGK TR55's (gapped .44), bosch 13444 first bank o2 sensor (tripped the code). have 8.5" supercomp wires. im no mechanic so i'm stumped. anyone around the garland/plano area want to check out my car? i'll drive it wherever aslong as i can get this figured out. mods in sig. thanks.

i had a misfire condition when i first got my car. turns out it was a stuck injector. it caused all my plugs to foul, one o2 sensor, and one cat to foul. luckily the car was under warranty, so it didnt cost me a dime.

mine was doing it even under light throttle though, not just WOT. later, i was getting missfire at WOT, and it was the stock sparkplug wires falling apart. changed the wires and problem solved.

also, why are your plugs gapped so tight? do you have some mods not listed in your sig? stock spec is .060, and from what i've read, most people dont gap them any tighter than .055 with just bolt-ons. (seen some people go down to as far as .050 with bolt-on cars, but not a lot.)

what about a tune up? i put ngk's in my 00 SS and after 3000 miles it started running like ****, it would bog down to like 400 rpm, misfiring like crazy, and all my o2 sensors were out. took it to the dealership and now it runs like a champ. just my .2cents

I had the same problem. I then swapped to bosch 13111 o2 sensors (for ls1 vettes) and everything was great. Only one went out and that was about 6 months later because I held the car at 130-140 for about 15 miles. Might be worth a shot but you may not want to spend the $125 to get those sensors.

You might also check the MAF wires if you run a K&N filter and oiled it a little too good and got oil and **** stuck on the MAF wires. Ill try to think of more possibilities.
BTW, how long has the car been giving these symptoms?

couple weeks. there isn't much difference to the 13111 and 13444 besides that the 13111 can withstand more heat and higher temps, correct?

if anyone that's real familiar with these types of problems and fixes and wouldn't mind taking a look at it. pm me please. i'm not the most mechanically inclined

check to make sure your coil packs 100% are plugged in and also all the plug wires are firmly connected.

maybe you got some bad plugs? Were you previously using the NGK55's or did you just swap to them.

I would say it's because you have a 1998... j/k.

There are quite a few guys with LT's that experience the same problems you're talking about. Have you tried unplugging your MAF and running a little SD to see if the problem goes away? If it's misfiring, you would know it, not just guess that it is...
