Default Td's Welded To Headers?

I just bought a td's system and the guy i bought it from had it welded up to his headers. Now what do i have to do in order to make it so i dont have to weld it to my headers?

Mattering on how much he cut off of the x pipe you might have to add a short section on pipe. If you don't want to weld it, get yourself some good band clamps.

Flange it. That way you can unbolt it when necessary.

But there is nothing inherently wrong with welding it to your headers. That's what mine were. You just would have to un-weld it if you were to need to remove the exhaust, for any reason.

Or you can add some pipe onto the end of the TD's and get an exaust shop to balloon the end of it out so that away it will jsut slide over the headers and then put some exaust clamps on it.

The headers came with 3 bolt flanges welded to them?? If that's the case, your solution is simple...

I have this same project scheduled for tomorrow!
