I wrecked my LS1
I haven't ever posted before, but I thought this may be important enough for me to post.
I recently totalled out my LS1 but hitting a tree in my passenger rear quarter and braking and axle, blah blah etc.
A guy wants to buy my car, and I'm afraid he's going to try to screw me.
He wants to buy my car as a whole, it's an LS1 M6, 138k highway miles(girlfriend lives 50 miles away, I see her basically every day)and nonetheless, that's in 6th gear cruising at 1500 rpm's.
He wants to buy my entire car, and part out what he doesn't need to make some money back.
everything on the driver's side is fine and untouched, and everything on the passenger side from the door forward is fine. The engine and transmission weren't touched during the accident. The wheels are all fine, just one snapped off at the axle, and the passenger side tail-light broke.
Monsoon sound system, if that matter.
And the hatch broke in half, so that can't be resold, but everything else's fine.
What should I ask?

Can anyone else give some voice in here? It was posted on MOFBody and they laughed and said that even if the car were in perfect running condition I'd be lucky to get $4500, so I'm looking for some more intelligent people to give me a quote or two about what my car's worth.

In my experience, this site isn't good for this type of sale. You'll do better putting a for sale sign on it. Tried to practically give away my wrecked (body damage only) 94 z28 m6 on here and never even got a nip in several months. Sold it in three days, after 10 people came by, by putting it on a high traffic road.
Also, like others have said, you'll get more parting it out than trying to sell it whole.

Yeah, this site will force bottom dollar out of your F-bod, too many to compete with and everyone wants perfection for that bottom dollar. Best option now is to part it out or sell for less than you want to get out of it.

Oh I wasn't planning on trying to get it sold on this site, I wouldn't want to deal with shipping and all those pains. I'm going to sell it local, i just needed a starting point to price it at.
and I don't want to have parts that I can't sell and end up with a frame or something sitting in my backyard, hence my retension from parting it out myself.

Bought an entire drivetrain and all the other parts I could use for my 3rd gen swap from a wrecked '99 T/A (yes , it was a M6) with 43,000 miles on it 2 years ago for 4500.00 . Your car is worth around 3,000.00 with that kind of mileage , and that's probably too much for it.

I bought a wrecked 99 Z28 in December with 32K miles on the odometer for $2500 from a junkyard locally. I made my money back and cleared the motor and tranny for my swap project.
