Default ran car aggressively. high rpms, hard going into gears

Hey guys.

Tonight I ran my car somewhat hard for the second time.
We put a 3000mile great shape Textralia OZ700 clutch & new slave & pilot bearing in there a month ago. I've put about 300 miles on it since the install & no problems.
Two months ago we installed a great shape 30,000mile stock 3.42 rear end out of a WS6, and has about 500 miles since & no problems.
The trans was rebuilt last summer, a $2500 job.
My car supposively puts down 420rwhp.

My story...
Sometimes when I'm accelerating aggresively & try to shift to the next gear at like 4000rpms, it's kinda hard getting in gear. going into 3rd gear especially.

My other story...
I was doing about 65mph in 6th gear, downshifted to 5th, around 2300rpms & then accelerated fast. Then somehow I shifted EASILY into 6th gear around 105. Through about 65-105 acceleration I smelt a slight burn smell. I just installed new Nitto drag radials today, but I don't think that was it.

what's going on? should I be worried about the synchros? or the hydraulics? what about me being too hard on the rear end tonight?

The burn smell was the clutch slipping. If your hydraulic line is too near your exhaust it can cause release probs. A clue would be dark / burned fliud in the reservoir. If you have not done the drill mod, probs will show up more in 3rd( it did for me) but fast shifts will be difficult. You will want to do a hydraulic system bleed to be sure there is no air in there.

Have you performed the drill mod yet? If not this could be somewhere to start.

Read your own problem statement and you may begin to see the point of it.

It removes the factory flow restriction in the slave cylinder hydraulic feed line. The restriction is there to limit how fast the clutch can apply. It was put there to "save" driveline components from impacts/ spikes of torque.
