Default Who's running a 78mm FAST intake?

What are your impressions in the whole powerband over the intake you had before? What intake did you have before? Is it ported? Any dynos #s/charts?

Thanks!

I've got one. Went with the 78 because most of the stuff I read a year ago was saying the 90 was too much for a 346. Volumetric efficiancy and all... Made sense to me since I'm an old school carb guy. Of course now everyone seems to be making great numbers with the 90. It replaced an LS1 mani and the sop dyno says it feels better. No porting and no numbers yet...

Me too, but I was already heads and 244/248 cam. IT MADE A MONSTER DIFFERENCE. I was at 397rwhp 366tq prior and after it was 421rwhp and 378rwtq.

What's the average price on a used 78mm FAST intake? I really don't want to pay the retail.

used one on a all motor 346 n/a set up. loved it. it is ported, with a ported stock t/b, and runs out hard.

They are mainly shining in the mid to upper range. I didn't lose any low end with mine that I could tell with my cam selection.

2800+ rpms. customer will probably change upper shell to 90/90 someday, but for now it runs pretty damn hard. i find that the 78/78 set ups are alot more responsive than the 90/90 stuff, and seem easier to drive. just my opinion.

I think I'm for sure gonna go with a 78/78 set-up. It seems more and more people are going with the 90/90. Maybe I can find a good deal on one when I get my taxes back.

BTW, what are the differences in the LS6 and 78mm FAST intakes?
