i think i have 99 guages swapped in to my 98. how can i check to prove that i have 99 and up guages?

Don't know for sure, probably with a Tech2. There were issues with the '99 clusters and GM issued a TSB, it lists the old and new '99 cluster PN's. See http://home.earthlink.net/~cetera/pics/aug99tsb.jpg Also on the 2K and up the low coolant light doesn't light up on the bulb check on startup - unless someone disabled it somehow.
