NewB With 408 In Mind...
Well guy's recently just got my 2001 SS Procharged and Naturally Im already wanting more power. Im planning on building a Streetable/Occasional Trace Visit 408 Stroker for my Daily Driven car (Is this possible)? Ive read on here that people use the 6.0 Block, what are the benefit's to doing so? Of coarse Im going to need new Head's and etc. What would YOU suggest doing in my shoe's (what Rotating Assembly, Cam, Heads, Etc...)
Motor must be Capable of Holding around 16lbs of boost or so and Driven Every Day. I will also Have a Tranny/Rear End to handle to Power so that wont be a problem. So if it were your Build what would you do to have a BAD Street/Track car?!
Thanks, Blake
As Far as a Budget goes...NOT looking to spend over 8-9 Grand...

get a longblock from one of the sponsors like tsp with around 9:0 -9:5 scr with a set of 2618 pistons and you should be good to go. you will probably only need 8-10 lbs of boost to put up some sweet numbers on a 408.
