i cant get the special socket to tighten up the sending unit until tomorrow, but i wanna go ahead and put everything back together tongiht if possible. will i be able to get to the sending unit with the intake on and everything buttoned up? also is it ok to start the car and make sure there are no problems with the unit screwed in as far as it can go by hand? it only lacks a few turns.

No dont start it unless that sender is TIGHT. It will spray oil if it isnt tight. get back there with a wrench if you can and tighten it up.

Its a bitch to get to with the intake on. If you want to get it done tonight just pull the intake back off and tighten it with a wrench. It should only take like an hour to pull the intake off, tighten the sender, and put the intake back on. All ya gotta do is take the 10 intake bolts off, leave the fuel rail and lines connected.
Why did you put the intake back on without tightening it anyway??

i never said i put it back on yet lol, i was wondering if i could. i also said i dont have any 27 mm wrenches that are deep enough and will fit back there and tighten it up, tried vicegrips, tried pliers, ive tried all of em lol.

youll probably have to wait to get the tool if you put the intake on first. There is just pretty much no room to work back there with the intake on.
