dumb Qs adding high rise spoiler to formula
I have a 98 Formula and I though it would look better with the ram air hood and the high rise spoiler, would that just be a bolt on conversion? Or would it take filling in holes and stuff? For the spoiler at least. I know the hood goes right on. But the spoiler looks like it could take some work.
Any pics of formulas with the ram air or high rise spoiler?
Also, say I wanted to add t/a side skirts or wings west side skirts, what kind of work is involved there?

You can't put a Trans Am spoiler on a Formula, the Formula spoiler isn't removable. You can swap hatches easily thought, and TA hatches are fairly cheap now. The hood is a direct swap. GXF are easy, but they require a few holes to be put in your rocker panels. All easy stuff, and IMO, worth the work.

To answer the first question, ..., You'll simply have to bolt on the whole rear hatch off of the Trans Am. You can not just swap spoilers.
There are a number of people here that have done this, & some recent photos somewhere.
Yes, it will look good, but I agree on not doing the gxf, keep the Formula rear bumper & no T/A side skirts.

I have put a WS9 hood and a T/A hatch on my car and I can honestly say my car looks 10000000000X better now! Putting the T/A hatch/wing is the BEST thing I've EVER done to my car. I HIGHLY HIGHLY suggest doing it! It's really easy to do too! I have a bunch of pics I've collected over time of other member's cars. I also have a few crappy cell phone pics of my car with the hood and hatch.
And here's mine (the black one in the middle):
You can see some more pics of my Formula with the hatch/hood here: https://ls1tech.com/forums/multimedia-exchange/656792-3-ls1tech-members-firebird-photoshoot.html

Why does almost every Fbody guy hate GFX? Only thing I dont like about them is with my crappy roads in rural KY, I couldn't lower the car any after I put the GFX on.
Well to the O.P. I'd say put on the T/A hatch, leave the bumper alone, buy a hood you like and if you want get the GFX. I like them, nobody else seems too tho. =(

i personally like the gfx on a trans am i believe why the formula appeals to me more is the lack of gfx i believe the body lines look sharper that way either way i believe the formula hatch lacks the aggressiveness that the t/a hatch does

Check out my car domain page, I did the same to my formula and she looks really nice. I was happy with the end result, the wing I got off ebay and the hood from a friend for a good price, then paint job and wow! It was worth it, well until the motor died.
