I was wondering is there a way that I can find out what the actual number off of the production line my car is since it is a 35th Anniversary Z28? I was wondering was there a different number from what the vin decoder says?

Why dont you go to a dealer and run your VIN# they should give you a bunch of info and the codes on the door will probibly show you things you did not know about your car.

There's nothing special about a 2002 Z28, they are all 35th anniv cars. But the 35th anniv SS was a special package and I think SLP or GM should be able to identify what car it was by the VIN.

Only the SS Camaros were given numbers by SLP. The 35th LE SS has a SS number and also a 35th LE number. Z28 only goes by the numbers on your VIN

The last six #'s is where you start and then check the door sticker for the month that will be as far as you'll get. I call mines "The Preemie" because it was made in May '02 which was an early start up by GM for the final year. Mines came in the first 2 weeks of '02 production. My vin is in the first 630 or so made for '02. I wasn't able to narrow mines down any further. Hope this helps. BTW the vin #'s for '02 range from 2G1FP32G222100001 THRU 2G1FP32G122172467 ACCORDING TO THE CAMARO WHITE BOOK.

You mean May of 01? May of 02 would be near the end of the run.

Even the V6 Camaros made in 2002 are anniversary models.

There were no officially designated 35th anniversary Z-28's made (or V-6's); however, there were approx. 3110 designated 35th Anniversary SS's manufactured by GM and SLP. Everyone of them were red and came with the checkered flag decals on the hood.

Every 2002 Camaro made had a small plastic plate which said 35th anniversary Chevrolet Camaro on it. It was located above the A/C and radio stack and to the right of the A/c vents.

I think you mean 01 because my 02SS was made in Oct 2001..

according to what i was told by a friend at a dealership, the only cars that got 35th designation other than the SS were convertible and t-top cars V6 & V8, hardtops did not get the designation, i could be wrong but this is what i know right now
