Default Good Cam For me?? Help

I was going to go with the hot cam. But there is better out there. I want a package with springs and stuff. My mods are LTs Ory LS6 intake Ported TB Lid Exhaust. I want a cam that will be good for a lot of street driving good power and a good sound but not to big that will effect driving a lot and ideas??

Well, there is a checklist that most people will hit you with on questions like this.

1. A4 or M6?
2. Ever plan to go to the dragstrip?
3. If yes, frequently? Once a month, year, 2 years?

Seems like you have the basics for getting the most out of having a cam. "What cam" is about the most vague question out there though. If you think about it, it is like asking "What should I do with my life?". Basically that is what you are saying...Only speaking for your car. Cam is the brain and will pave a path for the rest of your mods and future outcome of the car overall.

The hotcam is a good choice for someone looking for a little more than a bolt-on power yielder. I am not going to talk down to it, I thought about getting it myself about 5 years ago. I have since then been introduced to much larger and fun cams.

If you are afraid to go to big, then you are probably right. I would not take it over a 230 duration if you are looking to keep this as a DD. The hotcam does sound good due to its positive degree of overlap.

i will be soon DD the ms3 soon being next week .. i kno alot of people that DD that cam.. and love it.. i also kno a few people DD the MS4 but these cams mite not be best for low rpms more of a top end.. but they are good cams that make good power.... but when u street race its mostly freeway anyways.. cuz you wont hook on the street ****.. my friend with an ms4 cant hook at highway speeds unless hes running his ET streets.. but its to hot nowadayz to race on the streetz well from wat i seen anywayz.... i just go to the track... if you want a good DD that has good power all around.. MY OPPINION would prolly be the 224/224 on a 112... people have seen good numbers with it.. and is a great DD cam...
