Default thinking of Fast 90/90

ok so im really leaning towards a fast 90/90 for my build. i know an ls6 would prolly do the trick but im just curious how a fast would respond to the boost. any thoughts other then the basic its a waste

the FAST 90mm intake is awesome, it will give you power over the ls6, it is the best.
THEN IMO, i think Nick Williams 90mmTB is also the best.

I'm on a STS kit with my fast

They are alright until tou run 18psi, then they blow apart, but if you were running that much boost, you would get a victor jr intake

I would just go with an LS2 intake and a 90MM TB if you are wanting to stick with the stock style intake.... not worth the $$$$

I got over the FAST thing long ago, especially after seeing a few people run solid 8's on a LS6 intake...The ONLY other way I'd go would be a carb style intake.

If you got the money, spend it! Add a little more and you could have a sheet metal intake.

any car built will go fast... the intake will just limit how far it can go.. along with other parts.

there is not a FAST thing or an LS6 thing.. get what you want, I love my FAST intake and Nick williams TB. get either an LS6 or a FAST it doesn't matter to me.

otherwise get a victor Jr. intake...

how is FAST a waste of money on FI application?

Because you can make 1000+ hp and run 8s with an LS6. The $1300 the 90/90 would cost will net you a lower ET if spent on suspension or elsewhere.....for the most part.

There are also issues with the FAST intake leaking boost, not having a good solid fitting for a map sensor, and also not handling high boost.

For the money, I would go for the LS2, it's cheaper and seems to be great on FI applications. I will sell my FAST when I change over to FI.

yep, and a used intake should only be around $300, So you'll still have an extra $400 to spend on something else!

Bottom line, it still comes down to preference though, some will say FAST, some will say LS6 or LS2, so you make the decision as its your money...But just to put things into persective, Mike Brown went mid 8's with a LS6 and stock tb and MM puts out 1k rwhp with a LS2 intake and tb. So either way, you cant go wrong.
