I actually just got one of those cards, but got it from Summit Racing so it's a "Summit Speed Card".....same thing though. Haven't used it yet, but plan to in the next couple weeks to finish building the 383 for my truck. Pretty hard deal to beat, spend over $500 and you've got a full year interest free to pay it back.

Oohh yeah, the best part is if you make four $600 purchases they organize the payments as best as they can so that you still owe JUST enough money so that you get all the back interest on that "no interest for a year" load of crap.

Then you suddenly have $400-$800 dollars added to your cards total!

Just make sure you make one large purchase and that you pay it off a month BEFORE you need to have it payed off so you don't get slammed.

I sat and watched them juggle my payments on my seperate purchases trying to nail me and decided to just pay the card off and use a real one.

It is like if you have a card with a $1,000 (at 12% interest) of purchases on it then you make a $100 (at 29.9999% interest) cash advance, none of the money you pay on that card goes to that higher interest rate cash advance until you pay off the prior $1000.

Summit sat there and tried to keep my old purchase alive just long enough to pass the "no interest" date mark and they actually got me once. I think I was nailed with ~$285 dollars in back interest.

Thats right.you got to watch those fu**kers, because they are hoping they can sucker you in for the first year and then bang you hard on the payments if you don't pay it off in full

Ok well I am 20. This would be my first credit card. All I have had before is a debit card. I'm not 100% educated on the way credit cards work, but I know the basic is if you pay it off your covered. Sounds like If I stay on top of it it will be a good thing.

If you work it right, it aint so bad. Had my CarCareOne for 2 years and I pay it off everytime within a month or two before interest is due. If you follow the rules, its great. Never paid a penny of interest. But if you have a bad habit of getting behind or minimum payments, probably not a good one for you.

Just bought some Harland Sharp rockers on it a week ago.

Exactly...be smart about it and don't push it until the last month of no interest. If used wisely the CarCarOne card is an awesome deall!!

I have one through Discount Tire, that I use mainly for purchasing drag tires when needed. If you pay more than the min. every month, and get it paid off, the no interest period is great!

Just be sure to not get behind on payments, and make more than the min. each month!

The problem with a card is that if I have a credit limit of $23 hundred for car parts we buy $23 hundred dollars worth of car parts.... :(

Ahh, but now I'm married and my wife looks at an intake manifold, some hoses (like $800 in hoses including brake lines and nitrous hoses), sway-bars when my car already has perfectly functional ones on it already, and a stupid ass bottle (nitrous) and than yells at me about how she could have bought another 65 inch TV for the same price.

Damn she gets pissed at me when I do crap like that.

 "You spent $1,800 on PIPES, PIPES!!!!!"

"...but hunny they make the Z06 go VVvvvvrrruuummmm." :(

Yep, I have one for the same thing. Pretty much just use it for drag tires and truck tires, sometimes I'll use it for odds and ends at Summit. It's usually 90 days intrest free. It works out great for me.

Mine came in handy for an emergency set-o-tires and new brake pads back in my college days...

...than I also threw in some new zinc plated slotted rotors and stainless steel brake lines...

...and some SLP tuned Bilstein shocks...

...since I was doing the shocks I went ahead and bought Hotchkis Springs to do it at the same time...

...with springs you need that new Hotchkis Adjustable Panhard Rod...

...than new Lakewood LCA's and Granettelli LCA relocation brackets...

...and I threw in a set of Hotchkis 35mm front 25mm rear sway-bars to balance it all out (BTW best mod ever).

Damn I forgot I did all that!!

I got a Sony Credit Card (through Chase) which offered a $100 sign-up bonus (paid within 3 months). Zero APR for a year, one condition to get your $100 was to be paying off the balance on time.

After 3 months I got that $100 bill back and closed the account. The small print said that after 12 months the APR would go to 24.99%!!! They are insane. So if you get sucked in, Sony would get your cash and your sole for months to come. What a rip off.

You can only spend over $200 if it is for jewerly for your wife.

The way they keep you married is that if you get divorced you have all the back interest slammed onto the account.
