Default How much room?

I will be putting either an LSx engine or a Chevy BB in a 1974 Elky and I would like to know which engine would give me the most clearance for headers and also valve covers to factory air and brake cylinder clearance. Can anyone tell me? JB

This swap has been done on the smaller elkies (search 4 "bubba drift"). I think a 74 will be an easy fit! Any engine bay that will swallow a BB (and your will!!) will easily fit an LSX.

a lsx type motor should give you optimal room in a large engine bay.....unlike in our fbodys

Thanks All. Then you think the LSx will have more room for working on the car than the big block? JB
