Stock for stock? I would say the Mustang I guess... they seem to be louder and more throaty from the factory.

Throw an aftermarket catback on a LS1 F-Body (or a cutout like myself) and it's the LS1 all the way.

Stock for stock with exhaust, Mustangs for sure, they r true duals from the factory. I would imagine an LS1 with true duals would sound just as good if not better tho, never heard it. Cammed LS1's do sound awesome, but so do 2/4 valve Stangs with cams, the just dont sound as "old school". To me an old 5.0 foxbody with LT's, o/r H, and flowmasters just cant be beat. That is the ultimate kickass sound.

I like how full exhaust Vettes sound, since there true dauls out the back instead of dumps..

Mustang vs an Ls1, both with basic mods Stang wins. Ls1's have a nasty drone.

But if you go exotic and get true duals or stick a turbo in there then Ls1.

this is what you should be asking yourself....if anyone buys a car just because of the sound....they should be a mustang owner anyways.....

but to answer the ? at hand....a mustang does sound pretty good with the correct exhaust, i think the lsx with true duals and a cam gives it a run though

I voted for LSX. Mustangs have true duals from the factory and I think that might be reason some like the sound of a mustang over an LSX. I hope the new camaro has true duals from the factory!!

Mustangs are to high pitched however they do sound good. But an ls1 ftw because of its deepness and over all mean sound.

Fav mustang sound was my old roomates 01 cobra. LTs, Bassani X pipe with magnaflow dumps. The car sounded like a pissed off Ferrari.

I prefer the sound of the LSx with a big cam and either 4" mufflex with the flowmaster or TSP true duals.
