Default Air Fuel Gauge

Wasnt sure which forum to post in but...I have a auto meter digital air fuel gauge and need help. It has a Red, Black and Purple wire on the back. I plan on buying the A/F gauge pigtail from Speed Inc. I'm just not sure where each wire need to be hooked up. The car is a 98 M6 Formula

i'm pretty sure purple is signal, black is ground, and thus red is hot (should be more wires for ambient lighting?)

checking w/autometer looks like i'm right
