Default Need HELP QUICK! 3channel/4Channel?

Long story short, a friend got a free moser 12 bolt. He has a 3 channel rear end and the 12 bolt is a 4 channel. Will the 4 channel work in his 3 channel car? What happens to the sensor on the top of the punkin on his 3 channel car? There is no place to put it in the 12 bolt.

Dave, I'm going to strangle you for not reading the FAQ.

It's not going to work without some big modification (drilling a hole in the top of the 12 bolt and adding a reluctor ring to the diff). He'd be better off just deleting ABS in my opinion with a delete kit from SJM manufacturing.

The other way around would be much easier (if his car was four channel and the rear end three). He would just have to put reluctor rings on his axles and call it a day.

Rear does not work for him, but may work for me. Just not sure I want 4.30 gears. We think they are 4.30's any way. I need to find out how to tell what gears they are. I did write the #'s off the ring gear down. I'll post them later or call moser.

Read the FAQ. They are 4.30's. They have 43 teeth on the ring gear.

Who wants to read when you have 2 cars in your garage with rear ends out & neither one is yours.
