LS4 Performance - rocker number

a verifiable 13 whp.

may not seem like much to anyone, really doesn't to me actually.
two weeks ago, the car dynoed 250{yes i know the numbers suck, more on that in a minute}

today, 263 and 279ft lbs to the tires

nothing was changed but the rockers.


before a/f 13.5
263 dyno, 14.0-13.8

there is a bit more power in the car due to the a.f ratio taking a steaming dump on me.

for being that lean at wot, and doing that hp gotta say something.

with more work on the a/f tune on the car, the power will come up. im sure you could see a minimum of 275 to the tire easy. with more mods, and better tuning, 280-285 isn't out of reach. i may be looking on the high side of things, but for the money i have spent, im actually rather pissed about it.

You didn't try to richen it up on the dyno? Would have been nice to see what the actual numbers were with the right A/F ratio.

what id like to see if, someone with a stock ecm car do rockers and dyno it. see what comes out of it. because frankly, im starting to get pissed

I'm curious, what would happen after driving around a few hours/days. I wonder if the a/f ratio would correct itself or straighten itself back out. Being this is a mass air flow system and all.

possibly, or i could reset the fuel trims on the dyno and do a couple wot passes for it to settle back down. who knows. i have other issues to worry about {tranny is messin up} then fuel trims at this particular time

ehhh, the rockers i can justify, it helped out more then anything else i have done to date on the car.

i getting frustrated with the car, im about to rip all of it off and go back to stock, and work my way back up from there.

BADD, bring it on! we can do a 70 punch i think we have traction then. but being that it's wet, it would make it very interesting

id really like to see how far off, or retarded my car is compared to another with damn near the same mods

not racin dyno numbers, i could break out my nitrous passes for that. i could give a shit less. im more curious to see real world numbers, not inflated numbers from said manufactures, or someone playing with numbers to make it seem like there is a gain when there really isn't.

Id say vinci's # are accurate, it feels like it got a 25 shot in the arm... Feels like a bone stock LS1 F body after headers and a tune to me...
