Default What is this upgraded 10 bolt worth?

I've got an upgraded GM 10 bolt 3 channel
Fully welded axle tubes (professionally welded, so not warping)
Strange hardened axles
Auburn Posi
Richmond 3.73:1 gear set
5,xxx miles on gearset, posi, axles and bearings
TA Cover
Gloss black paint
No track passes and the only tire to be on the axle was a street tire - Kuhmo Supra ECSTA 275/40/ZR17

What is this worth to someone who wants a great street rearend?
Obviously this isn't worth a dime you if you want to mount sticky tires and hit the strip.

About $200. Stockers go for $100 to free. Not much market for a 10 bolt with gears.

Sory to highjack the thread. I'm done.

I'm somewhat surprised by the axles percieved value. But like I said before, someone wanting to drag race should look to alternative axles, as this is not for them, but for someone who is easy on their car, this would make a nice replacement/upgrade. I would have guessed that this axle would add $500-$600 to the price of a car if you were selling it. I would see it as a selling point (1/4 the price of a 12 bolt, good components that will last unless they are abused)

You can get a used 12 bolt for $1,200 if you look enough. A friend of mine just bought a moser 12 bolt with 4.30 gears & aluminum rear cover with 1k on it for $700 today @ my house.

Not selling yet since I've nothing to replace it with, just getting a feeler for its value. If it is worth less than $400, I'll just keep it and store it and maybe it'll end up on the car again someday. As for $1200 12 bolts, those deals are few and far between. $1800 + shipping is fair market value for a used unit.

You seem to be someone who knows how to get things...I guess I run in small circles where good used parts are hard to find and cost top dollar. Bummer for 9" rears since they don't work with 3channel abs. I would convert to 4channel but nobody seems to fancy the idea for the cost.

Keep up with the local forums & meets and you will be suprised what you can find. I bought my rear end just like the one you are selling for $200. 99zman calls it the magic rear because no matter how much I beat it it still holds strong. I missed the $700 12 bolt, but oh well. You wouldn't believe the deal I got on the FAST 78 too.

If you decide to sell, ping me. I'm just north of Columbus. i'm on the fence about keeping my car or demodding it and i'd need a stock rear. Right now it's got a 12 bolt with about 550mi on it.

Thanks, I'll keep you in mind when spring rolls around (the car is in hibernation right now). Are you looking for a "stock-stock" rearend so you can trade your car into a dealer or are you looking for something like mine that has a bit more "curb-appeal".
