Default Racing schools?

I did a little Googling, but wanted to get some opinions from the board. I'm intersted in taking some driving lessons, particularly in the road race area. If possible, I wouldn't mind learning how to do drag launches as well, but that would likely be a separate class. I'll admit, I've never raced, and the biggest reason is I don't want to go out to the track and make a complete *** of myself. I do that ust fine as it is.

Has anyone taken any classes like this? Experiences and price ranges would be helpful. Seems like something would be offered at some of the tracks in the Houston area.

I did Russel Racing at Infineon a few years back. If you want a real course to learn on, Infineon doesnt get much better to learn on

I have done one course with The Driver's Edge and am going again next month. It's awesome. Any high performance car enthusiast should do at least one of these. They run several times each year at TWS in College Station. Check out http://www.thedriversedge.net/.
