Default Sound clip: Schtick Saga Continues=TD's/1 Chambers

Corsa and ORY are off....TD's with dumped 1 chambers are on. The first video is an idle clip before the tune (tune is next week). The video doesn't do it justice. It's very deep and louder than hell. One of the best sounding cars I've heard...don't mean to toot my own horn. More vids to come. Enjoy!

Agreed. It sounds much better with the TD/Flowmaster 1-chambers dumped (and that's just at idle). The sound will be much better through the entire rpm range or when you get on it. BTW, is your TD (w/ H-pipe) set-up 3" or 2.5"?

Mike

PS - I like the dummy tips you've rigged

Thanks guys. On the tips....yeah I definitely wanted to keep the tips but wanted the dumped sound. I'm pretty paranoid about being able to see both the tips and dumps so it may end up going to cutouts with tailpipes or something someday. The TD's are 2.5" with H-pipe. I drove it a little bit and the interior resonance is pretty bad but I think it's well worth it. It sounds a million times better.

Repost the clip man. Its not working anymore. I really wanna hear how it sounds. I'm going with TSP True Duals and I've yet to make a decision on a cam and I've been looking at the MS4. I really wanna hear it.

Thanks a lot guys. It should sound even better after the tune next week. The link still works for me. Try this one if it still doesn't work.

Man I think your helping me make my mind up about the cam . That thing sounds awesome. I know you need a tune. Please let us know how it is for just driving around. Our setups will be very similar once I get mine done. I've already got Pacesetters, Fast90/90, and TSP true duals. I think I'm gonna go swap out my TCI 3000 for a Yank. Probably a 3600. I just need to decide on a cam. I usually drive mine all weekend and park it during the week other than to drive it back and forth to the gym. But thats only 3 miles roundtrip. How is it for just driving around town now even without the tune? Thanks for the sound clips.

Right now it's almost undriveable as far as cruising around or whatever. I've driven it a few times and once it's warm it won't idle on its own because the cam surge is so bad. But other than that it drives just fine (considering). The stall doesn't lock very well either without the tune. I'm supposed to be getting a tune at the end of next week and I'll make another vid and post it up.

you should be happy with it once you get it tuned. My gives me no real problems anymore. I mean sure some surge but below 1800 but hey it not that bad. Never dies or even tries to die anymore. And I got just a quick basic tune at the moment

Yeah I'm aiming for a basic tune for now just to get it to run decent then I'll get into some more advanced tuning once a little more cash becomes available.

Just curious. Got any pictures from the bottom? Im curious to see what the bottom looks like. Also, how did you mount the tips if the exhaust is dumped?

Do you have any sort of balancing pipe? (i.e. X or H)?

I haven't had a chance to get any pics of the exhaust yet. The tips are just "dummy" tips for right now. They aren't hooked up to the mufflers. The setup was done with an h-pipe. Rasp does not exist. The tone is deep and very muscle car sounding. The video does not even come close to how it sounds in person.
