Just got my WS6 VFN pin on and my question is since the airbox doesn't seal to the hood anymore, will all that extra airflow running under it affect the car at high speeds? Can the hood fly off?? I know Noyzee lost a hood once.

If you use several Dzus fasteners rather than just 4 pins I think you would be fine.

i had alot of dzus clips. i had 4 on each side, 3 up front, 2 out back, it ripped the rivits right out!!!
i got bigger rivits and washers. drilled the hole, stuck the rivit in, then the washer, and crushed the rivit, this made a nice large area to hold, and since has gone 9.0 without an issue.

Well I won't be going 9.0 anytime soon. :)
I saw these DUZ washers that go on the underside of the hood to make it a stronger install- I ordered them so hopefully I can make it work.
Thanks.

Don't skimp, at 155 I had my hood start to take off, added more dzuz and it never moved again. 4 in front and back minimum. I also love those small aluminum lips you see guys use, strongest way to mount hood.

you can see in this pic, i cut strips and rold the ends so it looked good. i rivited this to the stock lip, then all the rivits ripped out. put the washers in, and no more problems.
5 on the sides, 3 up front 2 out back. and i blocked up the holes on the nostrals no more issues.

Buy more rivets, you will be glad you did, and you will be done once and for all.
I have 6 dzuz in the front, 4 in the back and only 2 on each side.
I only did 4 in front, 2 on side and 2 in back the 1st time, being cheap & lazy,
and like I said I had to add 4 more when I started hitting 8's.
I just used plain regular aluminum rivets, I also always tap them down flat with a hammer and a body working tool. Seems to help fit better. Keep at it, you'll do fine.
