Default Exhaust opinions (Y Pipe related)

Hey guys,
I recently picked up an LS1 (last night) to swap into my LT1 car. As far a sexhaust goes, I already had Edelbrock Cat Back on the car, so I'm looking at just getting some Edelbrock Shorty Coated LS1 headers, but as far as a Y Pipe goes. Here's my options for the Y Pipes....

Option 1
Try to find an OEM Y Pipe and cats somewhere $ who knows

Option 2
SLP Large Diamete Y Pipe and look for cats $183 plus cats

or

Option 3
Random Technology Y pipe with Cats for like $580

Just wondering on your opinions if anyone has personally had the SLP, or Random Tech. Y Pipes...

SLP Y-Pipe (stock replacement) is pretty much worthless unless you add some highflow cats. BTW, You can find them used for around $100.

I can get one BRAND NEW off eBay shipped for $140 but then I would need to buy cats which I don't know what those would really run me

you can pick up some pacesetter long tubes and y-pipe for right around 500. That would be better money spent than trying to use the stock y or making another one fit.

What do you really want from the car.
