Default Throttle cracker table zeroed - I like it!

I zeroed the throttle cracker table.
Result: the engine speed drops faster and my T56 shifts much better.

Is that a usual modification?
The engine is internally stock and the tranny should shift fine as it's programmed by GM. But somehow the engine speed was dropping too slow and shifting always took a moment. I was thining the tranny was shot and it was necessary to rebuild it. It doesn't seem to be necessary now

I know that cams with too much overlap need modifications in the throttle cracker table to avoid surge... but with a stock engine?

My guess is the delay should be there to keep the rpms up a little when shifting and save your synchros.

in my case the RPM were too high while shifting.
I always had to wait a moment until the RPM dropped allowing the gears to engage.

Maybe it's the tranny, maybe I have some vacuum leak... dunno. But now it shifts faster.

Sounds more like the decay rate wasn't great enough, but preferences are as different as people themselves.

If I work with decay I should increase the values, right?
